Easy Vanilla Cake Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup granulated sugar – ½ cup unsalted butter (softened) – 2 eggs – ½ cup milk – 2 tsp vanilla extract – 1 ½ tsp baking powder – ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper for easy release after baking.

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in the vanilla extract until everything is smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry mix to the wet mixture, alternating with milk while mixing.

Mix until smooth but do not overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula to make sure it bakes evenly.

Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
