– 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced – 2 cups broccoli florets – 3 tbsp soy sauce – 2 tbsp oyster sauce – 1 tbsp hoisin sauce – 1 tbsp cornstarch – 1 tsp sesame oil – 2 garlic cloves, minced – 1 tsp grated ginger – 2 tbsp vegetable oil – 1/4 cup water
Marinate the beef in 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp cornstarch, and a splash of sesame oil. Let it sit for 15 minutes while prepping other ingredients.
Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water in a bowl.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan, add beef, and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef and set aside. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger briefly.
Add broccoli to the pan, stir for a minute, then return beef. Pour in the sauce and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Let the sauce simmer slightly until thickened. Serve hot over steamed rice for a delicious, quick meal with tender beef and flavorful broccoli.
